Katherine is a University of Utah grad who studied journalism, marketing and public relations. Through the pursuit of her passion for writing, she worked at The Daily Utah Chronicle for four years, her final year as editor-in-chief. She studied photography and video production in Genova, Italy, with the Genova Liguria Film Commission, and interned with the American Copy Editors Society,  Bloglovin', USA TODAY, and was an NPR's Next Generation Radio fellow in 2017.  

After participating in Next Gen Radio, she moved to Washington D.C. and worked as a Program Associate with the American Press Institute, focusing primarily on diversity initiatives and marketing outreach in media. Following that, she moved to New York City to work for NewsWhip as a Content Strategist, and explored ways publishers can use data to inform their storytelling. 

In 2020, she joined NPR as a Communications Specialist and quickly took on the role of Audience Development & Communications Manager. She was also the staff-elected Advisory Board Representative and co-chaired NPR Utah's Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee. 

In 2021, Katherine returned to New York to work as a Digital Communications Specialist for Dia Art Foundation, where she built out new content streams. After a promotion to Digital Content Manager in 2023, Katherine focused on the production of long-form video storytelling. 

As of 2024, Katherine is the Manager of Marketing at The Frick Collection, dreaming up new and interesting ways to engage audiences with art.
